Oh How Pinteresting...

SEC FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION!
So I'm sure by now you're tired of all my football posts. Well, I will only have a couple left because it's almost over :( But this is an extra special week! My husband and I are a house divided. Team Josh (Georgia) vs. Team Jennifer (Alabama) and we get to play each other for the first time in 4 years, winner take all (national championship bound)! This is the 20th anniversary of the SEC Championship. Back in 1992 Bama beat Florida to be able to go on to win the National Championship! Of course I'll be cheering for the Tide but if Georgia happens to pull it off I'll be really happy for them and cheering Go Dawgs Go on January 7!

One Year!

It's been way too long since I last blogged! It's been busy in our house with the holidays, as I'm sure it's been in your house! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I got to spend mine with these 2 sweet girls!
We had so much food and ate on the leftovers all weekend!
I made 2 pans of cornbread dressing and believe it or not we ate every bit! If you're looking for an easy southern cornbread dressing recipe, click here.
We also discovered the best Thanksgiving leftover sandwich! Turkey, Dumplins, Dressing, and Gravy! AMAZING!
There's no better time to eat Thanksgiving leftovers than watching football all day! It was fun watching Georgia and Bama destroy their opponents on Saturday. Now we get to watch them play in the SEC Championship this weekend. It's a house divided for us! Roll Dawgs!
Sunday night we celebrated our 1 year anniversary! We went out to an amazing restaurant and I finally got to wear my perfect little black dress I found months ago!

Monday was our actual anniversary. 11.26
I can't believe it's been a whole year! Time sure flew by fast!
We had a nice dinner at home and I decorated the table with miscellaneous items from our wedding.
We got to enjoy our cake topper (freshly made, I was too scared to keep it frozen)
We got to read our 1st anniversary card! Each table number was an anniversary and everyone at that table left us a special note. We have 10 more years of notes to read!
It was fun getting some of our wedding stuff back out. Our centerpiece was the lavender bouquet used on our lavender place cards table. We ate off of our china for the first time. We toasted with our champagne flutes. We used our cake cutter and placed our cake decorations on the cake. I put out our invitation, wedding album, Josh's boutonniere, our 1st Christmas ornament, and our Mickey and Minnie bride and groom salt shakers.
After dinner we watched our wedding video. If you can afford a videographer, or can at least find someone to film throughout the night, I would highly recommend it! I can't wait to watch it every year, for years to come!

Weekend Update!

I had a fun, football filled weekend! Georgia had a great 2nd half against Ole Miss and as long as they don't royally screw up against Auburn, it looks like they'll be going to the Georgia Dome!
The Alabama game was not as easy to watch. We were celebrating our friend Melanie's 25th birthday in a house full of Bama fans (don't you love my present to Mel, and my very merry un-birthday present to me- Chevron pocket bama shirts!!).

I wish I had a video of all of us watching the last drive of the game. We we were all going nuts, screaming our heads off, hugging, high fiving... it was an emotional win!

Looks like my husband and I will be spending our 1 year anniversary as rivals!

Sunday night we went to the Falcons game! We had incredible seats thanks to our friend Travis! Julio Jones was my all time favorite Alabama player and we are so lucky to have him as a Falcon now! I couldn't believe all the Julio jerseys I saw last night. After the way he played last night, it's no surprise everyone is proudly sporting his number!

The bad part about being in Atlanta and being an Atlanta sports fan is the crowd is usually 60/40. It's like you're not even at a home game! But I'm glad we finally quieted all the rowdy Dallas fans! Keep it up Falcons! 8-0!
