The Holidays are Coming!!

Happy Wednesday! I hate that I haven't been able to blog much lately but this is a very busy time for me at work. With the approaching holidays, this brings some of our biggest events. I am pretty excited for my Boo Bash event this weekend! Captain Jack Sparrow (this has to be the best impersonator I've ever seen! This is not a pic of Johnny Depp!) will be attending and helping the kids do a Treasure Hunt. I got a bunch of glow in the dark items, spider rings, and lots of little Halloween toys to hide around our neighborhood playground.

I'm also having a Haunted House built inside our Clubhouse Boardroom. I cant wait to see how it turns out! I'll be sure to post pictures of the event!

To me, Halloween just gets me one step closer to the holidays I care most about, Thanksgiving and Christmas! With my wedding being right after Thanksgiving last year, I didn't get to decorate as much as I wanted for Christmas. So Hubby, be ready, this year I will be out of control making up for last year! Don't judge me, but I deem it acceptable in my house to break out the Christmas decorations as soon as Halloween is over. That's right, November 1 is my date I can break out INSIDE decorations only. It's so much work to put everything out and I want to enjoy it for more than a few weeks!

Thanksgiving Ideas...
This year we are hosting Thanksgiving for my family at our house. My Wedding Cake Designer, Cake Envy, is making us our cake topper to enjoy for our first anniversary, so I thought I'd also order some desserts for Thanksgiving. I'm thinking of ordering this cupcake centerpiece in Pumpkin with Cream Cheese Icing!

I found this Corn Casserole dish on Pinterest. I want to try and test it out to see if it's Thanksgiving worthy. It sure looks like it! Recipe

I'm also going to make Cornbread Dressing and I think I'll go ahead and make it in the next couple of weeks and freeze it!  Recipe

And since I'll already be decorated for Christmas, no need to look at any Thanksgiving decorations. Lets just jump right in to the good stuff!

And I'll leave you with a song that is sure to get you in the Christmas Spirit!

#H54F 90's Edition!

This morning on Good Morning America, they reunited the cast of Clueless. It got me in the 90's spirit! While pinning this week I stumbled across a Pin- 333 Reasons Why Being a 90's Girl Rocked our Jellies Off!  It brought back memories of things I had completely forgotten about! I hate that my children won't get to experience these things!
Here are some of my favorites...

My sister had one and I was so jealous because I didnt have one!

These were the perfect note writing pens! Did anyone else do every other word or every other letter in a different color??

Not sure what the purpose of these were but they sure kept us entertained!

Bought these from my local Goody's store.

Read it.

Everybody dance now!

I never got 4 puppies!

Made sure I wore this on picture day!

Dr. Pepper flavor was the best!

Would always buy these from the school store

A must read!

Dinosaurs, Step by Step, Boy Meets World, Hanging with Mr. Cooper, Muppets Tonight...

The Torkelsons! Ok, can anyone explain how they dropped 2 children when they moved in with Brittany Murphy's family??

These were fun until you actually needed to color something in.

They were disgusting but I would drink them anyways because they were cool!

I remember these!

A great, forgotten movie!

Zoobilee Zoo!

I loved anything Mary Kate and Ashley!

What were some of your favorite things from the 90's?

Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday! The weekend is almost here! I have my annual Fall Festival this Sunday. It's one of my favorite events. We will have a petting zoo, pony rides, rock wall, hay rides, train rides, bounce houses and obstacle courses, face painting, cotton candy, snow cones  popcorn, boiled peanuts, bbq, and much much more! Woody and Jesse from Toy Story will even be making an appearance. I am so thankful for my job! I love it!

Here are some pictures from 2 of my September events.

We had our pool closing party and had those giant water balls in the pool. They were a huge pain in the butt, but the kids loved them! Active Pest Control was also kind enough to donate hamburgers and hot dogs for the event!

Our Concert on the Lawn was made into a Tailgating party. There were some big games on that night, even though Georgia stomped Vandy.

I made it through September, now I have to get through October with my Fall Festival and Halloween Bash. Then I get to end the year with my favorite event of all, the Christmas Celebration!! Can you believe that the holiday season is upon us?? Where did this year go?

How Did You Tailgate?

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect birthday weekend celebration!
Thursday night we watched the Vandy game with our friends Mel and Andrew. Andrew is a huge Vandy fan so it's always fun to cheer on the Commodores with him. Mel made a delicious new dip that will definitely be in our Tailgating future. I'll be sure to get the recipe and post!
I got to spend Friday night grilling out with more great friends at the house. We taught this little cutie to say "ROLL TIDE" and 'GO DAWGS". She's a true southern girl now!
Saturday I was completely spoiled! Everyone's presents were so thoughtful! Of course, I got a lot of Bama gifts. Josh and I have a trip planned for Vegas in February and he surprised me with Celine Dion tickets. It's been one of my dreams to see her, I've been a fan since I was a kid!
We watched the Georgia Game, then headed down to the Georgia Dome to watch Auburn vs. Clemson.
We weren't really there to watch though. We were there to Tailgate and cheer on Alabama as they played Michigan. We all had so much fun! Hopefully we will be invited back to the Suite for the SEC championship, where hopefully Alabama will be playing Georgia!
Sunday was a funday on the lake with more great friends and family! I have to share a great campfire game that we played! It's called Fishbowl. Each person writes down 3 words on separate pieces of paper and tosses them into a "fishbowl". You need to play with even numbers because everyone partners up. There are 3 rounds to the game. Round 1 you have to describe the word to your partner. You have 30 seconds to describe as many words as you can. You keep passing the bowl around until all of the words are gone. Round 2, you throw all the words back in and you have to act them out, using no words. Round 3, you have only 1 word to describe it. You have to remember what the words were so it's easier to guess in Round 2 and 3. It's so much fun!!

How did you Tailgate or celebrate this holiday weekend?
